…und manch­mal sind die Schreiber unfrei­willig komisch:

I hope you will Improve your Self at School and Study the Eng­lish Gra­mar as your Let­ter is bad­ly Spelt. [Ulster, 1818]

schreibt jemand, der unter anderem auch solche Stil­blüten von sich gibt:

Neaver the Less I must Acknowl­edge Ire­land is by no means to be Com­paired to Amer­i­ca {.} I must be Con­tent to Lay my Boanes with my Ans­es­ters as I hive No fam­ly at pre­sant [Ulster, 1820]

Da gibt’s orthografisch aber Schlimmeres.
